From what I understand Spybot is spyware, I think I would look some where
else, if you look around you can find a trial version of web root spy sweeper. I would down load that on your computer put it on a disk and install it on your husbands comp.

Virus checkers don't detect a fraction of the scumware that can become
installed on your machine merely by browsing the web these days.
Firewalls are no guarantee either.  Spybot S&D will help. Free from:

If your machine is infested with these parasites they may well be
blocking the searches.

Or it could be something else ... but you need to eliminate the
obvious first!
