Here are my comments on the images in the photoforum gallery at
<http://www.rit.edu/~andpph/gallery.html> this week.

Alan Zinn -- First class or coach? -- Now *there's* a nice camper.
Gets you between campgrounds fast, too! Nasty brightness range, with
the fairly heavy shade under the plane and the bright sky above.

Emily L. Ferguson -- Claiborne Pell bridge at night -- I like the
lights on the bridge wires being stretched into vertical bars in the
reflection! And getting some color into the clouds makes tha sky more
interesting. Nice shot!

Per Ofverbeck -- Chilly... -- Very nice! The thoroughly buried trees
are something I don't see much in real life even here in Minnesota,
and the snow-capped tips of something sticking up above the horizon
and catching the sun is a lovely touch.

Bob Talbot -- Mary -- Interesting face, nice expression. Direct
flash? My direct flash somehow never looks that good.

Pini Vollach -- Window of the long house -- I think this approach
handled the brightness range well. I probably like it better than
what you could have gotten with simple fill flash. I like the primary
colors of the fruit and the (cloth or paper?) under it in a photo
otherwise in a very naturalistic pallette (the wood, and the somewhat
desaturated greens outside).

Christopher Strevens -- Summer On Box Hill -- Nothing, particularly
the dried curled leaf that appears to be the main subject, is
*sharp* in this picture.

Terry L. Mair -- Bride -- I like the choice of background, and the
chair is a nice prop. I wouldn't have thought those shoes needed
special documentation, but the customer *is* always right about that
kind of question, and this is a nice way to do it. I'm surprised at
the size and brightness of the highlight you have on her forehead; I'd
have thought that was undesirable for this kind of shot.

Trevor Cunningham -- Baalat Jebel -- Very nice. Old stone ruins and
old trees (I guess the ruins are probably *older* than the trees; not
something I usually see in the United States), and a dramatic sky.

Mark Harris -- Christmas Cactus Flowers -- The big version of this
picture won't come up for me through either link. Looking at the
thumbnail I'm worried about the bottom of the frame clipping the
petals, but I can't tell for sure if it does. They're a lovely color,
much more blue than the ones my mother grows.

Andrew Davidhazy -- Lesley -- She has a lovely head of hair. And I
always enjoy the full nudes that manage fairly naturally not to show a
*thing* that couldn't be seen on most beaches. Very nice use of the
hard lighting.

Thanks to everybody who participated in the Gallery this week!
