I think you missed the point. I can put an arrangement of items - leaves, toy soldiers, food - on a photocopy machine and create something new, using a process that is essentially photographic.

But it still is not an original. In order to be counted, it would have to be an original copy of an original work from the original photographer. And I agree with Lesley, too.
