I did not realize ISO 100 was not available. What is the ISO range?
Nikon claims to have solved the problem of excess noise with increased ISO, so the 200 base ISO in the D70 is as noise-free as lower ISOs in other cameras. In practice, there is no noise at 200 with the D70.
The lack of lower ISOs impacts certain shooting situations but not the output from the camera.
