There are a lot of packages available for slide show presentation on/from a computer, ranging from free ones or ones included in software like Photoshop.  What works for you depends on what platform you have (Mac or PC), what effects you want, how many options you want, and how much you want to pay.  A google search will bring up a lot of options.

You can run on a computer monitor, on a TV, or with a projection system.  Digital projections systems still are somewhat crude compared to a traditional slide projector, but I did go to a very creative presentation using a digital rear projection onto a shimmery curtain, sort of a painterly effect.

Happy New Year......It's a quiet LIST lately......so I'm out from Lurking.....Here's my question:

I have a large original slideshow.....unseen for over 20 years............composed of several sections.....maybe 2000 slides....old cassette driven sound/sync.......simple dissolve controls...........(I have checked and the condition of the Images is OK.........the audio/sync is probably toast and will have to be reprogramed)

How/What would be a "digital" conversion/presentation ?.......at least "desktop" and maybe projection................

I presume I would scan the slides .......WHAT next ?.............

Thanks for your time............Doug
