The relevance of the history of colour, colour spaces and how the mind
*perceives* colour

It's not just academic: colour and psychology are inextricably linked.

The world of colour truly takes us beyond physics: colours exist only
in our minds.
Scientits might talk of "red" light for convenience, and even measure
it's wavelength, but there's not an isntrument in existence that can
measure its colour from first principles.

What is the wavelength of purple light?
