Does anyone know anything about a

NIKKOR-H?C Auto 1:2 f=50mm

Is this a specialty lens of some sort? Or just an old paper weight?

A decent source for Nikon lens info is:

As for it being a paperweight, why don't you mount it up and take it for a spin. I once loaned an 85mm Biotar to a friend. When it was returned it appeared to be have a coating of baked on snot that someone tried to remove with sand paper. Oddly enough it became a favorite glamor and portrait lens because it worked magic on wrinkles.
