Scarred Head:   I have mixed feelings about this image.   From a distance it could be a hill with a radiating sun rising behind it, there fore giving the photograph a more appealing feel.    Knowing I am looking at a "Scarred Head,"  however, gives the image a whole new meaning.    I like the shadows and light.   It gives form, shape and roundness to the head.  I'm wondering how the image would look if the head were revealed down to, and including, the eyes.   Since this seems to be a photograph of the top of a head, maybe including the eyes wouldn't be possible, but I want to know more about the subject.

Southbound Freight:  I like this; the red and yellow, the letters in focus while the train is careening by.  You used your imagination and photographed this from a unique vantage point, Gregory.   Great work.

Getting Airborn:  This image has a 3-d look to it that makes the bird's body seem separate from the wings.   As always, I love the detail of the birds, Jim.    I don't think I would have the patience to sit and wait for that "perfect shot," Jim, but I'm glad you do so you can show us these beautiful photographs.

Terran Tissue Arrangement B:  This photograph shows the variety of colors in the sandstone and that's interesting, but my eyes are drawn to the one large stone in the upper, right portion of the image and they  want to rest there.   This series of photographs is interesting because they have an almost illusionary puzzle quality.  What's up?  What's down?   How large of an area is included?   I can see these images making a wonderful series.

For Elisha:   Just out of curiosity - what are the white things some are wearing on their heads?   I get the feel of a parade - a celebration of some sort.   A little too much darkness in the background for me and the young man has a telephone pole coming out of the center of his head, but I think this shot is for story quality, not art, and photos that tell stories are the best kind.

WRG:  This is a beautiful scene, but I think it includes a little too much information.   If the top third were cropped it would be easier to look at.

Ramparts:   I like all the different shapes and textures and the red, white and blue colors.  If it were my photograph I wouldn't include more sky.  That would just be distracting and I think more sky could be cropped out to make a stronger image.   Maybe even make it tighter by cropping the darker, left hand side of the image out.

Pillar of the Community:  This is an interesting photograph for many reasons.   The juxtaposition of the old and new (the gray structure behind the King of Hearts).    The beautiful gray structure has a church-like quality and the King of Hearts looks more like a club or pub.   You told us this is your home town and that causes me to be more interested in the photograph than if it were a vacation shot, randomly taken.

Thank you to all who shared their work.  Thank you, Andy and staff for "hanging the show" for us to enjoy.
