This is an automated message. The RIT mail gateway scans e-mail messages for attachments that are considered to have a high risk of being a virus and/or worm. Attachments that are considered high risk are removed and replaced with this message. Examples of high risk attachments that are banned by the RIT mail gateway: *.bat, *.vbs, *.shs, *.com, *.pif, *.scr, *.cmd, *.exe Navidad.exe zipped_files.exe Examples of attachments that originate from a mass mailing worm: *.jpg.scr *.gif.pif *.doc.vbs If someone is attempting to send you an attachment that is being removed by these filters, please instruct them rename the extension of the attachment before sending it. For example, renaming a file called "Test.vbs" to "Test.vbs.txt" would allow it to pass through the RIT mail gateway unfiltered. When you receive the message, simply save the attachment without the ".txt" extension to restore its original name.
