Re: Enlarger lens for macro work

Yes - mounted on bellows. Excellent. And a really top quality lens is
much cheaper than a regular macro. I've used a Rodenstock 105mm which
has a 49mm filter ring! (most don't have a filter ring). If you visit
the Zoerk site, they have som info as they manufacture focussing
tubes for just this purpose. (www.zoerk.com?)
But they are flat field lenses and best for copying flattish static
subjects. And they are harder to use, of course, having no auto
diaphragm.

Are enlarger lenses well suited for macro work? If so, why?
