The best? Perhaps, perhaps not. But definitely necessary. The first question out of most photobuyers' mouths these days is, "Do you have a web site I can look at?" Many of them like being able to go to your web site instead of having CDs sent to them or e-mails with huge attachments. Any photog who doesn't have a web site is missingo out on a lot of opportunities and losing sales. Do all photobuyers want to see one? No, but do you really want to exclude those that do? It's not a question of best. It's a question of harnessing every marketing opportunity that you can to get your work in front of the people that have the authority to make purchasing decisions. ~G~ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gregory Stempel" <fyrframe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students" <photoforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, January 27, 2004 2:26 AM Subject: Re: On the Road > Gavyn, > > >> > The Internet is a MAJOR source of marketing for me as well, and it's not > very hard to find a place with high-speed access no matter where I am for > the most part.<<< > > I know internet connectivity is pretty much everywhere these days, but I > hear how websites are not the best forms of advertising one's abilities. > > > Take care, > Gregory david Stempel > FIREFRAMEi m a g i n g > www.americanphotojournalist.com > > >
