The streaks in the sky is some kind of a curtain. The place is an old warehouse on one of the piers in Istanbul where ships used to load and unload cargo. This year it was used as one of the exhibition sites of the art bienal. This lower story was predominantly used for video exhibitions; so the place needed to be dark. The lady was one of the guides, and she was just sitting there warming herself and looked weary. The photographer was weary too, after about seeing and walking for at least four hours of modern art exhibits. The subject of the photograph was not the lady nor the view outside, I tried to capture the mood. Thanks for the review. I like the feeling of the photograph. It gives the impression of a weary traveler. The exposure is a bit problematic, too little contrast and the red of the woman's jacket should "pop" a little more. I also can't figure out what's going on with the streaks in the sky. It's all empty space so you probably should crop it out. Scott (who needs another Grog)
