WOW!Muchas, Muchas Gracias ;-)
I felt your pics were "out-of-context" in some way... And here is the context, indeed! Your site is VERY well executed technically and aesthetically, as well as having an (no, several) important message(s) about us and the world.
1) the "Bush farm" in Texas that was mentioned: it can´t be THAT Bush, really, can it...? (no offence, no flames, please, everybody... just a curious furriner here).Yes, the ranch house is George W's. Would that we could all have homes like the ranch in Crawford:-) Here are two short news stories describing it in more detail:

2) didn´t I get a quick glimpse of an Arbus pic of a boy with a grenade?Yep, I credit her in the details section of the site. Her shot is originally BW. I altered the composition a tad and converted the image into a flat red, white and blue graphic though. This is one strategy I use; I put up small sized graphics for viewers to look at, while the larger jpgs download. For people with broadband, it's not much of an issue. But for those with dial up it's really important. When I began designing the site, I decided that because of my subject matter, I wanted the site viewable all over the world, so it streams at 28k, probably the most difficult technical challenge I encountered as far as flash goes.
BTW, there are two more famous pics in the site. But I'll let folks have fun finding them!
Anyway, thanks a lot for the link! Very, very rewarding! (I suppose it´s flash, which I usually dislike, but in this case it is really used well). Thanks again and I agree. I too hate buttons etc. that turn green and spin around etc. seemingly for no purpose. I have to have a reason to do something in flash, not just 'cause I can.
