But it does depend on your audience. A group of photojournalists would view a shot a lot differently than a group of portrait photographers or commercial photographers. Take for instance my mother, she is not into pj at all. She thinks Steve McCurry's shot of the Afghan girl is so much better than the work of someone like Sebastaio Salgado, Robert Capa or A. Raffaele Ciriello. So again, I think it depends on your audience as to what makes an aesthetically good picture. Some of my friends totally don't get what I see in some of the great pj shots which break all the rules but win awards. Just my 2 yen!
