Maybe it's a personal thing to me: the feeling of space. The picture for me is not just about the boat, which is in a way just a prop to add som colour to a deserted landscape. It's about having hills without houses, poles or other human distractions and about a bay without hundreds (well, any actually) moored pleasure yachts. If I crop in tight on the boat (placing it on a third ;o) it becomes for me a picture of just the boat: maybe to a viewer who does not remember the "place" a better shot. Oh, and the other reason for the space top left (bare hillside) was to allow room for some text without having to overlay the birds or the boat. > Other than that, it's a nice image Thanks Oh, another interesting fact. Barra is famous for the wreck immortalised by Compton Mackenzie's "Whisky Galore" . I got to dive it once for an hour (its only in 6 metres of water). Sadly I didn't find any intact bottles but it was fun looking ;o)
