IF you have an installation disk and IF you have the serial number with the digits that come after the hyphen you can install. IF someone else has registered Photoshop using those numbers you cannot get help from Adobe...well, you may be able to get help but you'll have to know the name of the person to whom the program is registered if it isn't you. No matter if you bought an upgrade or not...you can't get help if you aren't the original registrant. They are very funny about that. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Russell Baker" <rebphoto@pronetisp.net> To: "List for Photo/Imaging Educators - Professionals - Students" <photoforum@listserver.isc.rit.edu> Sent: Saturday, October 11, 2003 5:29 PM Subject: Up Up and Away....Revisitied > Hi Gang............................. > > Well everything sounds good as > to being able to upgrade to PS 7. > > However I do have one question............... > > I mentioned that the PS 5.5 program came with some > software that I got when I purchased a used computer. > > The PS 5.5 program was not on an original Adobe disc. > > If I go to install the upgrade and I have any problems, > will I get any help from Adobe or will they tell me to get lost? > > I am not wild about being out $140.00 because Adobe > tells me that I have (possibly, I really don't know) > a bootleg copy of PS 5.5.
