Although you have probably already received several messages from the list,
here is the official notification from the RIT Computer Center about the
situation regarding listservers at RIT. _______________________ ADavidhazy
At some point on Monday, it appears in the afternoon, the listserver
appears to have gotten "stuck". This impacted all mail sent to the
listserver, which was bounced with a message containing the text "Shell
exited with status 14 (Bad address)". This indicated a resource exhaustion
issue on the system.
The system was rebooted this evening, and the problem is now resolved.
Any message that was "bounced" will need to be resent. This includes
messages to all lista supported by the RIT listserver.
The problem was associated this time around by the excessive load of
Sobig.F virus e-mails (now gone).
