If you mean flash, then yes they do. If you mean studio lighting then no
they don't. If an assignment is given to shoot a corporate head shot, then
yes studio lighting (and more often than not just an extra flash or two and
a couple of umbrellas) and it is usually equipement belonging to the paper.

Otherwise most carry one or two dedicated flash units in their bag or in the
trunk of their car or as some I know on the camera at all times. One camera
with a flash, one without.
