OK, Leslie. I think you understand what we're saying, and we
understand the wonderful allure of using the camera for in depth
reporting. Many of us have either done that, or are continuing to do
that, even when we're not shoooting "news".
There's one person on this list who has sailed a thoroughly
successful course through these situations. She's not been in
evidence, so probably she's off someone doing one of her serious and
beautiful projects in the Mid-East. I think that's where she last
posted from, about two weeks ago, on the NPPA list.
Her name is Tina Manley.
Perhaps we can rouse her and see if she is willing to offer a little mentoring.
