F3 Camera

Gregory hi,

The one thing I remember about the F3 was the fact that the max flash shutter setting was a 60th. Just too slow for the sort of press work (eg..fill-in flash) I was doing. I get all my cameras new and I don't remember any of the film ones ever breaking down. I shoot approx 1500-2000,  36exp rolls of film a year, for about 3 years before trading them in. The D1s just can't take that kind of work load.

Sam,

Interesting, your comment about the F3. I too have owned every F made except the F5, just too spendy for my tastes nor the FM3a. I've had several F3s and own one F3 currently that is as old as they come and has yet to fail. It looks the part of a journalist's camera yet keeps on ticking. What happened to your F3 if I may ask?

Take care,
