I'd go for the Shen Hao 4X5 in a minute. It's just like the Hoffman and besides Wisner, Ebony, the Shen Hao pays Hoffman for his patent, anyway. The Hoffman is $2,195 made to order 50% in advance. There's a Shen Hao advertised in the current issue of View Camera magazine for sale through Mindwesten, who I've had lots of fabulous dealings with, for $625 with case. BTW they also have a Kodak 8X10 Master Camera for $1,195 that's a normal price and the best 8X10 ever. The best camera for anybody is the one in their hand when making pictures without thinking of a different one. Oh yeah, the Shen Hao has a relatively long bellows that accomodates a 355 mm lens, which means the Caltar "Brookie" 250/355 will work well on the Shen Hao. Does anybody know what the lensboard for the Shen Hao looks like? For their price they seem to be a great deal. I currently have a Toyo 45AX, if I had known about the Shen Hao earlier I would have gotten it instead. There is a dealer in Wisconsin called Badger Graphic, you can get to their web page at www.badgergraphic.com Good luck, Bruce On Thursday, July 24, 2003, at 08:18 PM, Achal Pashine wrote: > Has anybody here used Shen Hao 4X5?
