Jim, >>>> ........nudity is *not* the issue here........the issue is the use of profanity on the list.......you are evading the fact that the words you used in your original post are inappropriate and forbidden by the list guidelines.......<<<< Not only did you pluck my quote out of context, but missed the point all together. You are right, nudity is not the issue. I never said it was. What is the issue is what appears to be a double standard. Nudity in the gallery is what started it all, and therefore relevant to the discussion. But yes, it's NOT the point. You are saying; it's bad to use profanity on this list I assume, because it offends people, but it's okay to offend someone with frontal nudity? You don't see the double standards in that?? I can't call profanity art, so profanity in itself is taboo on the list. But, if I photograph a city street scene with the nasty little F**K word scrawled on the wall, then it's okay to show profanity in the gallery because it's art?? Or are you saying, art had better not have any cuss words in it, or the list police will be very angry????? We do call naked men and women art. So, if I show a naked women lying seductively on the floor rapped in a beautiful afghan rug, exposing her pubic hairs I needn't care if it's offensive to some list members, because collectively it's called art?
