Thanks, I'll just use this template provided:-) Nothing this week really grabbed me, so no real inspiration for a review, but I owe one, and a negative review I feel is better than a glowing one undeserved, or perhaps no review. >Marilyn Dalrymple: Chasing Shadows Very contrasty artsy fartsy work. I'd have rotated a bit to put the lower shadow to be cut in the bottom left corner. >Elson T. Elizaga: Assassin Great record bug photo. You should have tried some more natural looking pose, this one's for the biology books. >Rick Kessler: mmmm mmmm goood To me, I'd have liked more bottom rather than too much sky up there. It might also have removed that annoying curving of the horizon. >King/Arthur: Shoe Repair It's certainly some kind of jazzy thing, but overall has no lasting impression. Keep trying. >Rich Mason Patriotic statement photo. Well shot, perhaps the best image this week. >Dan Mitchell: Mill "... more than a picture postcard shot" Well, it is that. And a black day in hell for the history of photography no doubt - well it's not that bad. I just question, why a black sky? >Kostas Papakotas: is that Dog Life? Interesting story there. You cropped top or bottom, why not crop some off the left side? And bump up the midtones, it's a bit dreary looking. >Robin G. Ramos: Ascending Well, this is more than a run of the mill photo. But, for me it doesn't quite make it to greatness. The structure hitting the kid's head is the worst thing for the photo, perhaps a lower angle would have made this shot better. >David Small Nice image and composition, but the people just don't seem very clear. I'd like to see this photo reworked to get some midtones. Yes, I know it was a contrasty day. >Christopher Strevens, LRPS: Busker at Kingston I think this is a pretty decent Photoshop rendition. Also, the composition and colouration is nice. >Jayanth Vincent: Indian Dance Well, you see one photo like this, you've seen them all I guess :-) Seriously though, cool the colours, it's way too warm. Lighting and composition look good. I like seeing these ladies full body, in a pose. That's it, hope this helps. Jim Davis Nature Photography http://www.kjsl.com/~jbdavis/
