I don't know about PS, but....Early VR equipment was used by CIA-sponsored death squads in South America to torture/attempt to brainwash prisoners, in conjunction with hallucinogens.

Photoshop was written many years ago for a big silicon graphics machine costing a million dollars back in the 60's long before star wars was thought of.... So the answer is no.
