Christy The reason is film producers are professionals who see the medium (film) as the martix onto which to record the story. The digital "revolution" is like the proverbial queue in Moscow - people join it and discover later if it was a good idea. Approaching photography from the end point, the *photograph* rather than the process of taking it. Digital was taking over amongst the proles long before the quality factor was anywhere near. Then again, the proles have cupboards full of electronic gizmos that have entertained for a few weeks. Will film disappear? There are a lot of countries where electricity, let alone computers, are not a facet of every home. Film cameras are cheap: film is cheap for the casual user (compared to the true price of upgradeitis). Maybe film will disappear - then again, my LPs still play, even the hundred or so 78s. Not that I play them that often. Bob
