Ebay has had it from the beginning, yes.  You'll notice that if you
put a "reserve bid" equivalent against something you're selling at
Christies, and you get it yourself, you still have to pay the auction
house its percentage.  That makes that practice somewhat
self-limiting.  On ebay, there's no comparable disadvantage.
