There have been some suggestions about possibly running a
"style" exhibit where authors would be identified simply on
the basis of a number of people looking at the images. It has
been decided to pursue the project as follows:

An exhibit to be made up of photographs by members of the list
will be installed sometime in September. This exhibit will not
carry any reference to the author of the image but all will be
assigned a number and the names of all authors will be provided
as a separate list.
Then who would like to guess who the authors of the photographs
might be will be able to send a list a numbers associated with
author names to the RITphoto autoresponder. Once a suitable
amount of time has elapsed the "votes" will be tabulated by
Thelma and posted on the list.
The person whose image is correctly identified by the largest
number of PhotoForum list members will get a prize. Also the
person whose photograph is identified by the least number of
members. The prizes will be the same for both results. In the
case of a tie the prizes will be determined in some arbitrary
manner as devised by the exhibits staff.
Contributions to this activity will be accepted until the last
day of the month of August or until such time as 20 photographs
have been received, whichever comes earlier. (Or later at the
discretion of the PF Exhibits Management team). Details about
the images can be included as long as they don't give away the
geographical location of the author. Fair play requested!
Contributions can be made starting immediately following the
same rules and regulations as for the "regular" weekly exhibit.
with ONE very important difference. This difference is that
instead of stating the word "gallery" in the Subject line of
the email sent to the RITphoto@rit.edu address it is requested
that you use the word ANONYMOUS instead.

Remember, for this activity use the word ANONYMOUS on the subject
line of the message containing your contribution to the project.
Or at least state it is for the anonymous exhibit in the body of
the message.
