>>so, what is the right way to do that??? aside from the plain ol' conversion to greyscale..... look at each chanel. if there is one you particulary like click on that and then chose greyscale...it will delete all other chanels. orrr.....convert to Lab Color and then opt for lightness.....then greyscale.. or..... the chanel mixer is wonderful. lots of options...probably more than that.... but that offers a place to start playing... have fun ;-) -karen
