Well perhaps I have not seen enough of your images. I have only seen the
images you submitted to the gallery for the past year or so and I've been to
your web site.

I agree that the strong iron work (to me) is not indicative of your
subjects. The images that I remember well are mostly stone buildings but,
like the ironwork in your portrait, they are rather ornate and classic in
style. There was that glass and steel city shot a while back that I really
liked and the underwear billboard but they seem to be an exception to the
norm.

What I find really interesting about your portrait is that you are more or
less a silhouette or a shadow and that is the other thing I think of from
your work. You have had a run there of shots taken with the digital spy
camera of yours. The people in the coffee shop, the squinty-eyed doorway
standing gent and the couple on the wall come to mind not to mention the
entire section on couples on your web site. To get those shots you either
need to be able to run very fast or appear to your subject as nothing more
than a shadow. I picture you more as a shadow than a sprinter although
looking at your portrait you look like you could probably do quite well in a
pair of sensible shoes.

These are probably pretty superficial reasons and as I say based upon what
is probably a very small sub-set of your work but I'm a superficial guy and
that's all I have to go on. All I know for sure is that as soon as I saw
your portrait I said 'Oh yeah, that's perfect'.

Greg

PS - I think I may have misspelled your name in my last post and if so, I
apologize eh.
