I've only gotten five postcards. What's in the winds? Here's a hoot. The new book on Robenson Jeffers "Some thing of the Sur" is illustrated with Morely Baer's photographs with cooperation of Morley's widow [a friend of mine] Frances. She knew Robensen, who was a real little spoiled Nazi kid, hated Big Sur because of the 'evil that existed there. Don't let young girls go down there alone.' In the book, the author tells of Jeffers' 'love of the relationship with God and the beauty of the Sur.' THAT'S the snicker, while Henry Miller (the Oranges of Heronemous Bosch) knew and expressed the wild life as did Keroack, snicker; while the rest is history. History of the Armys who tamed the Big South all the way to Los Angeles. Snicker! S.
