I've had lots of experience with Dell, most of it poor. Wrong upgrade CPUs, use of non-buffered memory meaning I can't max out my machine's RAM, mediocre performance from most PERC RAID controllers. I just got a quote for a 4 CPU / 48 core AMD Magny Cours with 32 15k6 seagates and 128Gig ram from my favorite white box supplier, with a 5 year warranty and great support for $25k including shipping.
