WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON: You'll perform both administrative and some development related work. Administrative functions are of course the primary focus of this role and will include installations, upgrades, backups, replication and disaster recovery setup, monitoring and capacity planning. Development related work will include scripting changes for installations, and tuning of SQL statements, stored procedures, and indexes. Troubleshooting skills will certainly be a critical success factor. This is a 24/7 rotational environment where each team member must be open to and available for night and weekend work in accordance with the team's schedule.
