Hi – McAfee is hiring for a PostgreSQL DBA for its Bangalore office.
What you need to succeed in this role:
* Bachelors/Masters education in computer science or equivalent is required
* 3-5 years of experience as DBA
* Proficient in any one Database (such as Postgres, MySQL,Greenplum ) administration on a Linux platform
* Expert in any one scripting language on a Linux platform (such as bash, Perl, Python, etc)
* Experienced in understanding and writing SQL queries, doing Query and data optimization.
* Experience with performance tuning production databases.
* Experience with database backups and restores
* Exposure to data loading concepts
* Monitoring production databases
* Required to work in evening hours (preferably UK shift time: 4pm IST to 1am IST)
