We're looking for people that can explain our technology, services and support model to potential customers, design solutions and write credible project plans, while maybe cracking a joke or two once the serious stuff is done. You'll need to be a broadly experienced technologist, who can tell the difference between things that take 2 days with a script and 10 days of core development. You'll know a lot about databases, yet be willing to learn more and to change your opinions as new information arrives. Technical, yet able to add value without needing to write code every time. Whether you love SQL or not is up to you, just as long as you know why people use it and know why others don't. You'll have experience with PostgreSQL and other databases as well. Previous work as an Architect or Presales Consultant will be ideal. What you say will be correct, but you'll be able to say it without abrasiveness or ego. You'll need to jump up to the whiteboard when needed, then be happy to sit down again and listen as others respond, handling challenges and evolving a way forwards. We're not looking for people with sales experience, just people that are honest & sincere, enjoy meeting and working with others and who can make promises and deliver them without leaning on your colleagues either too much or too little.
