My name is Kamal Patel and I manage the RDS PostgreSQL Software Development Team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). We have several exciting
Software development positions available at our Seattle, Washington and Palo Alto, California offices.
The RDS PostgreSQL team delivers the PostgreSQL open source database as a service, and enhances and simplifies configuration, management,
and monitoring of PostgreSQL for thousands of Amazon customers. With only a few clicks our customers are able to provision a PostgreSQL database fully configured to take advantage of the security, durability, and scalability of the AWS infrastructure. We are
looking for seasoned developers accustomed to building highly performant, reliable, and scalable systems to join our team and help us take PostgreSQL on RDS to new levels of functionality, performance, and scale.
Basic qualifications:
•
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience
•
At least 4 to 6 years of commercial software development experience
•
Experience with more than one of Java, C/C++, C#
•
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and/or distributed systems
•
Experience in PostgreSQL databases internals is desired
