Postgres Experts,

I'm an engineer working for a successful, rapidly-growing company. My
team is replacing some MySQL/HBase code with a RESTful service to
persist customer data, such that it can be queried rapidly in various
ways. We're using Postgres for the persistence layer, since it's
supposed to be pretty fast.

Our decoupled service is written in Java (about 15k lines of code,
plus test code). It runs under Tomcat, using Spring4. We use some
hibernate and some Jooq. The problem we are solving is appropriate for
relational databases. The code is only about six months old, and it is
NOT a mess.

We have five datacenters around the world. We've set up Postgres in
High Availability mode, and are actually, just this week, starting to
turn it on for select customers. But it's struggling, we're having
performance problems. And we don't have a postgres expert in-house
right now.

We'll fly you out to Provo, UT, from wherever you are, and give you a
place to stay, and piles of money. (Details of the arrangement aren't
up to me, I'm just an engineer trying to get stuff working, calling
out for help.)

If this might work for you, please send an email message to my
personal address, including your qualifications as a postgres expert.
Ask me any questions you might have.

Thanks!
