EnterpriseDB, the Enterprise PostgreSQL Company, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our development team. The ideal location for this position is Pune, India; but exceptional candidates in other geographies will be considered. This position involves writing and maintaining backend database code for EnterpriseDB's Postgres Plus Advanced Server and PostgreSQL; reviewing and testing patches written by other team members; and occasional assistance in resolving specific customer problems. A qualified candidate will have the following: - At least 5 years of recent C programming experience. - Significant knowledge of database internals, either with PostgreSQL or some other RDBMS. - Solid communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing. - Previous involvement with the PostgreSQL community or another open source community is a plus. - Experienced in working with a global team in a fast moving environment.
