Project starting point Our client has a closed source ERP software, which uses a dedicated PostgreSQL database. Because it's a production ERP, the contractor cannot have direct access to this ERP or it's database, but in the case the contractor needs to have information about the database (e.g. table names), the contractor can get it from us against a request. The database of the ERP includes the data like: * Product number * Product name * Product description * Product price * Product stock quantity * Customer number * Customer contact information Our client has Drupal 7 with the Ubercart module installed on their server, which uses a dedicated PostgreSQL 9.1 database. What you should deliver The contractor should develop a database integration between the Drupal's Ubercart and the ERP software such that Ubercart would read the above mentioned data directly from the ERP's database, and show the data in Ubercart to the end-user. For example, when our client updates the product price in the ERP, the product price would automatically sync in Ubercart, or when the product stock quantity in the ERP software changes, the data would automatically sync in Ubercart. In addition, the contractor has to import the customers in the ERP to Drupal as Drupal users, and to develop a similar database integration between the customer data of the ERP and Drupal users. This will be included to the project, but currently we are waiting more specific specs from our client. The database integration for the product data is the most primary task currently. Project milestones and time schedule 1st milestone: Product number, Product name, Product price and Product stock quantity sync from the ERP database. Following milestones: Import the customers from the ERP to Drupal as Drupal users. Other similar database integration work that is not yet specified in this job post, but will be specified on discussions between the contractor and us. Project should be finished before the end of April 2014. Other The contractor should attach their portfolio of similar projects to the proposal, sign NDA and document all the work done.
