PostgreSQL DBA / Data Base Administrator Position: We are looking for an all-star Database Administrator to join our talented team of developers. In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing our database
infrastructure. You should have proficiency in database configuration (including replication), monitoring and maintenance. If you like to build a large scale database infrastructure this job is for you. Take pride in knowing that the work you do will have
a direct, positive impact on millions of our customers the next time they use our product. The data you gather will help us understand improvements that we have to make to improvements for the product. Responsibilities:
•
Design and develop of large scale databases
•
Manage existing database and improve performance
•
Slice and dice big data, perform data mining, fuel analytics applications and report business and engineering related data
•
Collaborate with other engineers and users to provide timely access to data and support company initiatives Required skills to possess:
·
Experience architecting and building large scalable database schemas and infrastructure
·
5+ years of PostgreSQL database experience and building large scale databases
·
Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios or Zabbix
·
Experience setting up and monitoring database replication and back-up Additional skills which are a plus to possess:
·
Industry experience with large data sets
·
Masters’ degree in Computer Science
·
Experience working with MySQL (including replication)
·
Experience Hadoop or other NO-SQL database technologies
·
