Ok i see your concern. Minor upgrade just need replacing binaries with newer ones. Which changing the image tag will do the work for you. Eventually you need to know what are all the changes that went through from previous minor build version
to new ones so that you can test that particular component

pg_upgrade is for major upgrades. This thread is about minor/maintenance
upgrades if I understood correctly.
