\ or ^ or ^\ or \^ does not work. echo localhost:5432:postgres:postgres:7Ug^\>uAks!{VA > %PGPASSFILE% does not escape the “>”-symbol. echo "localhost:5432:postgres:postgres:7Ug^>uAks!{VA" > %PGPASSFILE% does not work, because psql seems not to understand
