Not sure if *.* is valid, use "*.debug" as suggested.

Also make VERY SURE u hv one or more <TAB>s between "*.debug" and
"/var/adm/debug", stop the syslogd, touch /var/adm/debug, and restart
syslogd. This is a typical issue with syslogd.

Yes, I have *.* going to /var/log/all.log.  I don't see anything from 
PAM, only sshd referencing PAM errors.
