Hello list, this is my first post.
In pam-0.75-48.src.rpm, I find Linux-PAM-0.75.tar.bz2, which compiles fine. There's a pam-redhat-0.75-48.tar.gz, which looks like it should be untarred within Linux-PAM-0.75 directory, so I do.
Then there are a bunch of patch files to apply. How do I find out what order these patches should be applied? I tried varying the order until I found one where patch didn't generate a "FAILED" message and a rejection file. After patching, "./configure" seems to work. But when I run "make", I get
~ You do not appear to have an up-to-date ./configure file.
And it deletes the ./configure script!
Following is the order I hacked together for patching.
