Can't login

Hi: 

I can't seem to POP to any of my accounts. This error message was at the 
console: 

MODPROBE:MODPROBE can't locate module binfmt-000. 

When root logs in to the terminal there is this error: 

PAM - securetty (1741): could not open /etc/security 

The ipod3 daemon was running, but no messages are being logged in
/var/log/messages.


Any suggestions appreciated.
