Although it's not the same thing, there is the Cyrus SASL library which provides a "switch" for different authentication and security mechanisms. It does support GSS-API, as well as negotiation of a suitable SASL mechanism. The MIT Kerberos V5 implementation contains a GSSAPI library. - Ted
