New Applications Available for Review on Peer-to-Patent
Patent Applications Need Your Expertise!
Since Peer-to-Patent launched in June 2007, peer reviewers have submitted nearly 250 prior art references for use in the examination of 84 patent applications.  There are currently 13 applications available for review including the first submission of an application in class 705 since Peer-to-Patent was expanded to include patent applications for Business Methods and E-commerce!  The application, Ecosystem allowing compliance with prescribed requirements or objectives, was submitted by independent inventors Robert PaceGregg WeinsteinPaul VigilanteRichard Cohn,Walter Joseph Clayton, Michael DonahueClaudia Idann Rericha, and Mindy Gordon. It describes a "financial ecosystem" that allows for the trade of private placement securities in accordance with the requirements under the US Securities Act, the US Securities and Exchange Act, and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.  The application will be available for review until January 15, 2009.  

The 12 other applications cover a wide spectrum of subject matter:

Integrity checker for web browser document

Internet memory access

Booting utilizing electronic mail
(from Intel, available until October 23, 2008)
Graphical representation of aggregated data

Document integrity verification   
(from Kelce Wilson, available until November 13, 2008)
Production order grouping using grouping rules   
(from IBM, available until November 13, 2008)
Multi-dimensional serial containment process   
(from IBM, available until November 27, 2008)
Reducing power usage in a software application   
(from IBM, available until November 27, 2008)
Temporally relevant data placement
(from Intel, available until November 27, 2008)
Gesture-based communications
(from Intel, available until November 27, 2008)
Peer to peer network   
(from Microsoft, available until December 11, 2008)
Methods and systems for tracking and auditing intellectual property in packages of open source software
(from Michael Bonnet, William Baroniunas, and Mark Webbink, available until December 18, 2008)
