nntpcached will happily return old articles which have been expired on an upstream server, as long as they still exist in nntpcached's own cache. However, the group and xover commands seem to track the upstream server. Example: group alt.sex.pictures 211 4031 286110 290911 alt.sex.pictures xover 285696-286110 224 data follows <only xover info for 286110 returned - but I can see from the *_xover file on the nntpcache server that it has xover info back to 277504> article 286108 220 286108 <330DF47A.7F52@knoware.nl> article <and here the full article is returned> I'm not sure I'd call this behavior a bug - but it is inconsistent.
