Hmm, then maybe you can convince the author of INN to fix it:) BTW,
my news admin said that since there're so many people using INN, it
must be right for it to have non-existant newsgroups in active.times.
Have you talked to the author of INN about this?

I actually run nntpcached as nntpcache on an unpriviledged port, so
would it be possible to have reconfiguring abilities for this kind
of setup at least?
