Howdy folks (again! :), I have compiled NNTPCache-2.4.0b5 and it's running. All looks pretty well actually. :) I looked at 'suck' and it seems that 'newshound' is the right tool for me. Unfortunately, it's core dumping. For some reason it's looking for a file that doesn't exist -- see output of -d 4 -- and it cores. Here's what I do. I first create the hound.list as follows: newshound -c currently, there's a single entry (that's okay for now): news.starband.net/comp.database.sybase I then run newshound to fetch all the bits: newshound -f and Bam! core dump.
