Well, the active.times file seems OK in the webserver output. And NNTPCache 2.4.0b5 doesn't want to build on my Solaris 8 system. First time of trying it bombed out because it couldn't find <err.h> when compiling list_test.c. I looked round, found that err.h is in /usr/local/system (the only file of that name I could find on the system) and modified the source to say <sys/err.h>. Then the compiler said that "field e_map" has incomplete type. Sorry, but I'm not in a position to start playing around with this to fix it. Back to 2.3.3, which works, apart from the original 'quirk'. Thanks for your help anyway. No, you can see if it's got the active.times file from the statistics webserver it starts on port 9119. > Is this a problem? I don't know I'm afraid, I have no experience with the 2.3 version of NNTPCache I'm afraid. Faye -- Faye Pearson, Software Development Manager, ClaraNET Ltd.
